The brilliant Australian Boulder Opal in this piece has bright flashes of green, blue, teal, and pink hiding in its earthy brown stone matrix. The stone itself is set in sterling silver, with a large cast bronze succulent above it. The ring band is a comfortable double-band style made from jeweler's brass.
Boulder opal is the second most valuable type of Australian opal, after black opal. It was formed when hydrated silica filled in cracks in boulders of ironstone.
